Abstract
Fragilni X sindrom (FXS) je genetski poremećaj koji uzrokuje intelektualne teškoće, zaostajanje u govorno-jezičnom razvoju, teškoće u učenju i ponašanju, a mogu se pojaviti i elementi poremećaja iz spektra autizma (PSA) te motorička odstupanja. Značajan broj ove djece, pored raznih fizičkih, kognitivnih i bihevioralnih poteškoća, ima i poremećaj funkcije senzorne integracije koji može ozbiljno utjecati na njihovo ponašanje i sposobnost učenja i funkcioniranja u obitelji i zajednici. U radu je prikazan slučaj dječaka s FXS-om koji je bio uključen u rani razvojni integracijski program u Poliklinici za fizikalnu medicinu i rehabilitaciju “Prof. dr. sc. Milena Stojčević Polovina” u Zagrebu. Cilj ovog rada bio je ispitati učinak ranog razvojnog integracijskog programa na motoričke funkcije, funkcije senzorne integracije i razinu usmjerenosti kod djeteta s FXS-om. Istraživanje se provodilo tijekom šest mjeseci. Rani razvojni program odvijao se intermitentno, jednom u dva mjeseca, svakodnevno tijekom dva tjedna. Procjena učinka tretmana provedena je u više vremenskih točaka primjenom Testa grubih motoričkih funkcija (GMFM) i Testa za ispitivanje osjetnih funkcija dojenčadi (TSFI) te Listom razine usmjerenosti (CRIB). Rezultati istraživanja ukazuju na poboljšanje motoričkih vještina, normalizaciju funkcija senzorne integracije i bolju usmjerenost pažnje te time dokazuju pozitivan učinak provedenog programa.
Abstract (english)
Fragile X Syndrome (FXS) is a genetic disorder that causes intellectual disabilities, delays in speech and language development, learning and behavioral difficulties, and may also present elements of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and motor challenges. A significant number of these children, in addition to various physical, cognitive and behavioral difficulties, also have sensory integration dysfunction which can seriously affect their behavior, learning ability and functioning within their family and community. This paper presents a case study of a boy with FXS who was enrolled in an early developmental integration program at the Polyclinic Prof. dr. sc. Milena Stojčević Polovina in Zagreb. The study aimed to examine the effect of the early developmental integration program on motor functions, sensory integration functions and attention levels in a child with FXS. The research was conducted over six months. The early intervention program was implemented intermittently, once every two months, daily for two weeks. Treatment effects were assessed at multiple time points using the Gross Motor Function Measure (GMFM), Test of Sensory Functions in Infants (TSFI) and the Carolina Record of Individual Behavior (CRIB). The research results indicate an improvement in motor skills, normalization of sensory integration functions and improved attention, which prove the positive impact of the implemented program.
