Abstract
Cilj je ovog diplomskog rada ispitati utjecaj različitih postupaka toplinske obrade na tvrdoću i čvrstoću čelika 42CrMo4 kako bi se identificirala optimalna toplinska obrada čelika namijenjenog za korištenje kao materijala međuvratila. Da bi se postigao ovaj cilj, uzeta je u obzir teorija i eksperimentalni postupci. Proveden je niz toplinskih obrada i ispitivanja tvrdoće, dok su rezultati vlačne čvrstoće dobiveni pomoću jednadžbe koja povezuje Brinellovu tvrdoću i vlačnu čvrstoću materijala. Istraživanja pokazuju da primjena postupaka toplinske obrade ima značajan utjecaj na tvrdoću i čvrstoću čelika. Nakon svih toplinskih obrada, vlačna čvrstoća zadovoljava zahtjeve izvornog uzorka i onog s toplinskom obradom žarenja.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to examine the influence of various heat treatment procedures on the hardness and strength of 42CrMo4 steel in order to identify the optimal heat treatment for a steel intended to manufacture an intermediate shaft from. To achieve this objective, the theory and experimental procedures were taken into consideration. A series of heat treatments and hardness tests were conducted, while the tensile strength results were obtained using an equation that relates Brinell hardness and the tensile strength of the material. The research demonstrate that the application of heat treatment procedures has a significant impact on the hardness and strength of steel. After all the heat treatments, the tensile strength already meets the requirements of the original sample and the one with the annealing heat treatment.
