Abstract
(Masovni) mediji nezoabilazni su dio modernog života 21. stoljeća. Mediji su sredstvo oblikovanja stavova, a time i postupanja u svakodnevnom životu. Oni utječu na brojne aspekte života, ponekad toliko intenzivno da ljudi toga nisu ni svjesni. Medijima su od najranijeg doba izložena i djeca, i to veliku količinu vremena, stoga imaju važnu ulogu u odgoju djece. Utjecaj medija mogu donekle kontrolirati medijski pismeni i kompetentni roditelji koji kao takvi mogu kvalitetnije odabrati sadržaj kojemu će dijete biti izloženo. Koliku ulogu i na koje načine te koliko dugoročno će mediji imati posljedice na djetetov život nemoguće je s preciznošću izmjeriti. Ipak, utvrđeno je kako prekomjerna izloženost medijima ima brojne negativne utjecaje na djecu čime otežavaju i kvare odgoj djeteta, učeći ga da živi nezdravo i konzumeristički od najranijeg doba.
Abstract (english)
(Mass) media are unavoidable part of modern life in 21st cenury. Media is instrumentality in defining stances, and by that, acting in everyday life. They affect many aspects of life, sometimes so intense that people are unaware of it. Children are exposed to the media significant amount of time from early childhood, thus they have an important role in upbringing of children. Influence of the media can be partialy controlled by media educated and competent parents. That way they can choose the content more wisely. What role, in which ways and in how long terms do the media affect child's life is impossible to measure precisely. Nevertheless, it is determined that excessive exposure to the media have many negative consequences on children, which makes the upbringing of child harder, teaching him to live consumerist and unhealthy from early childhood.
