The new DABAR

The new version of the DABAR system was released into production on 4 November 2025. 

The upgrade was carried out to ensure the long-term sustainability of the system, enhance existing functionalities, and introduce new features aligned with the needs of the academic and scientific community. The new DABAR was developed as a customized solution based on the Laravel framework, while the new architecture was built on the Fedora Commons repository platform. 

During the migration, 185 repositories containing nearly 330,000 digital objects were successfully migrated. 

The new DABAR brings a range of improvements. In addition to the transition to the new architecture, key enhancements include the development of a new user interface, the revision and refinement of metadata specifications, the updating of objects, and integration with external systems (CroRIS, ISVU).
