The main aim of the thesis is to point out the importance of the organizational culture in compliance with business strategy. The accent of the paper is on defining and explaining the basic features of the organizational culture, its basic categorization as well as the role and importance that has for the organization. Also, the thesis explains the generic business strategy: costs, differentiation and focusing and explains how to achieve competitive advantages by using them. Achieving competitive advantage is imperative for the company, especially if it is aimed at long-term stay on the market. Within the business case analyzes three companies that in their operations using different strategies. Results of the study suggest that trading companies that use a strategy of cost and focus do not understand the relationship between organizational culture with the strategy of the company. Although both companies have visible signs of organizational culture, they do not have a defined mission, vision is not worth companies. Food company that is using a strategy of differentiation has a defined vision, mission and values of the company, but conducted an interviews visible possible problems in the implementation of the culture. According to the results of research can not prove the connection of organizational culture and company strategy.
