School culture and school climate are indicators of the quality of any educational institution. As part of this research, teachers' perception of school culture and climate in secondary vocational schools and gymnasiums in the Republic of Croatia was checked, and the signifikance of the difference in perception was tested with regard to gender, type of school and subject area. The general goal of this research is to examine the role and importance of teachers in creating school culture and climate in secondary schools in the Republic of Croatia. It's a quantitive research that was conducted through an online survey of secondary school teachers. The questionnaire contained thirty items through which the teachers assessed their general impression of the school, cooperation with the principal, cooperation with other school teachers, cooperation with students, cooperation with students' parents and their own work and participation on a Likert-type scale. A total of 95 secondary school teachers participated in this research. According to the results of this research, it is concluded that teachers perceive a positive school culture and climate, and assess cooperation with the principal, students, students' parents and their own work as satisfactory, while the evaluation of the teacher's cooperation with other school teachers is less satisfactory. The research determined a statistically signifikant difference in the teacher's perception of school culture and climate with regard to gender in three particles, with regard to the type of school in six particles and with regard to the subject area in one particle.
