Abstract
Turizam je višestruka djelatnost koja povezuje ekonomske, okolišne i društvene čimbenike održivosti. Cilj ovoga istraživanja je utvrditi upoznatost studenata s pojmom održivog turizma, ispitati njihove stavove o održivom turizmu i saznati njihovo razmišljanje o utjecaju turizma na ekonomiju, okoliš te društvo i kulturu. Provedeno je anketno ispitivanje na uzorku od 181 ispitanika, odnosno studenata Agronomskog fakulteta Sveučilišta u Zagrebu. Podjednako je onih studenata koji znaju točno što je održivi turizam i onih koji su upoznati s tim pojmom, ali nisu točno sigurni što označava. Rezultati su pokazali da studenti najviše vrednuju utjecaj održivog turizma na razvoj ekonomije, zatim na društvo i kulturu i zaštitu okoliša, dok najmanje ocjenjuju utjecaj održivog turizma na razvoj infrastrukture. Visok postotak studenta nije član niti jedne udruge ili organizacije koja se bave pitanjem zaštite okoliša. O zaštiti okoliša informiraju se uglavnom putem medija i studija kojeg pohađaju. Gotovo svi ispitanici smatraju da bi trebalo organizirati više edukativnih radionica o održivom turizmu te više od polovice ispitanika ih je spremno i pohađati. Rezultati ovog istraživanja mogu dati korisne informacije kreatorima i nositeljima studijskih programa u svrhu poboljšanja kvalitete modula koji se bave edukacijom studenata o održivom razvoju u svrhu boljeg informiranja i jačanja spoznaja studenata o pozitivnom utjecaju održivog turizma na ekonomiju, društvo, okoliš i infrastrukturu. Studenti su budući pokretači promjena i sa svojim idejama mogu puno toga pružiti za razvoj održivog turizma.
Abstract (english)
Tourism is a multiple activity linking the economic, environmental and social factors of sustainability. The aim of this research is to identify student acquaintance with the concept of sustainable tourism, to examine their views on sustainable tourism and to find out their thinking about the impact of tourism on the economy, the environment and on the society and culture. An on-line survey was conducted on a sample of 181 respondents, ie students from the Faculty of Agriculture in Zagreb. A large number of respondents agree that it is necessary to carefully use and to invest in renewable energy sources in order to avoid any shortages. Students believe that the development of tourism has the greatest impact on the economy, then on environment and on the society and culture and at least on the infrastructure. Surveyed students said that most of the environmental information they found on the internet and said they had environmental awareness and that they pay attention to it. The results of this research can provide useful information to creators and study program holders to improve the quality of the modules dealing with student education on sustainable development in improving information and enhancing students’ understanding of the positive impact of sustainable tourism on the economy, society, the environment and infrastructure. Students are the future initiators of change and with their ideas they can provide a lot to the development of sustainable tourism.
