Abstract
Entomopatogene nematode (EPN) letalne su za brojne kukce te se primjenjuju u biološkom suzbijanju štetnih kukaca u poljoprivrednoj proizvodnji. Posebno se ističu porodice Steinernematidae, Heterorhabditidae i Mermithidae, unutar kojih su najučinkovitije vrste Steinernema carpocapsae Weiser, Steinernema feltiae Filipjev i Heterorhabditis bacteriophora Poinar koje se s uspjehom uzgajaju i primjenjuju kao nematoinsekticidi. Na učinkovitost suzbijanja štetnih kukaca utječu brojni abiotski i biotski čimbenici. Cilj rada je prikazati vrste EPN koje se primjenjuju u biološkom suzbijanju štetnih kukaca i primjere njihove učinkovitosti; prikazati utjecaj abiotskih čimbenika (tlo, vlaga, temperatura, svjetlost), agrotehničkih mjera (obrada tla, gnojidba, navodnjavanje) i primjene sredstava za zaštitu bilja (kompatibilnost, metode aplikacije, oprema) na učinkovitost EPN te utvrditi preduvjete za uspješnu primjenu EPN.
Abstract (english)
Entomopathogenic nematodes (EPNs) are lethal for many insects and thus are used in biological control of agricultural pests. Families Steinernematidae, Hetrorhabditidae and Mermithidae stand out the most, especially species Steinernema carpocapsae Weiser, Steinernema feltiae Filipjev and Heterorhabditis bacteriophora Poinar which have been successfully grown and used as entomopathogenic nematodes. A great number of abiotic and biotic factors have a great sway at the effectiveness of pest control. The aim of this paper is to present EPN species used in biological control and examples of their effectiveness; to show the influence of abiotic factors (soil, moisture, temperature, light), agro-technical measures (tillage, fertilization, irrigation) and application of plant protection products (compatibility, application methods, equipment) on the effectiveness of EPNs and determine the preconditions needed for successful application of EPNs.
