Abstract
Predmet istraživanja je ekonomski prosperitet duhanskog sektora u Hrvatskoj i Europskoj uniji te analiza poslovanja subjekata na hrvatskom i europskog tržištu. U radu se pomoću financijskih izvještaja i dostupnih statističkih podataka analiziralo proizvodne i makroekonomske pokazatelje duhanske industrije u Hrvatskoj i EU te njihove promjene u proteklih desetak godina. Prikazano je i poslovanje predstavnika hrvatske i europske duhanske industrije. U radu se temeljem analize utvrdilo da su u Republici Hrvatskoj proizvodnja duhana i zasađene površine u padu, a broj zaposlenih u duhanskoj industriji i prosječna neto plaća u duhanskoj industriji u porastu, kao i i otkup i prodaja neprerađenog duhana. Također, analizom je utvrđeno da vodeća poduzeća u Europskoj uniji ostvaruju pozitivne rezultate, te je zaključeno da, unatoč zakonskim ograničenjima, postoji dobra perspektiva duhanske industrije u Republici Hrvatskoj i Europskoj uniji
Abstract (english)
The subject of the research is the economic prosperity of the tobacco sector in Croatia and the European Union, as well as the analysis of the operations of entities on the Croatian and European markets. Using financial reports and available statistical data, the paper analyzes the production and macroeconomic indicators of the tobacco industry in Croatia and the EU and their changes in the past ten years, and presents the operations of representatives of the Croatian and European tobacco industry. Based on the analysis, the paper determined that the production of tobacco and planted areas in the Republic of Croatia is declining, and the number of employees in the tobacco industry and the average net salary in the tobacco industry are growing, as well as the purchase and sale of unprocessed tobacco. Also, the analysis found that the leading companies in the European Union are achieving positive results, and it was found that there is a perspective of the tobacco industry in the Republic of Croatia and the European Union.
