Abstract
Poznavanje hranidbenih navika riba važno je za poznavanju njihove biologije, kao i za ribarsko gospodarenje. Cilj ovog rada bio je utvrditi sastav prirodne prehrane jegulje (Anguilla anguilla) svakog istraživanog vodotoka četiriju rijeka, sezonski i prema dužinskim razredima. Ulovljenim jedinkama izdvojeno je probavilo rezanjem kod jednjaka te se disekcijom probavila analizirao njihov sadržaj i obavila determinacija svojti plijena. Standardnom metodologijom utvrđeno je da jeguljama iz rijeke Brce, Žrnovnice i Sutorine glavnu hranu predstavljaju rakušci Gammarus sp., dok je jedinke iz rijeke Željeznice najčešće hrane kukuljicama kukaca iz reda Diptera. S obzirom na raznolikost svojti, prehrana je različita u svakoj istraživanoj rijeci. Ustanovljeno je da se samo veće jedinke iz rijeke Sutorine koje su ujedno pokazale i najbolji faktor kondicije, hrane krupnijim svojtama plijena
Abstract (english)
Understanding the nutritional preferences of fish is very important in knowing their biology but also for fisheries management as well. The purpose of this thesis was to ascertain the natural diet composition of eel (Anguilla anguilla) in every researched watercourse of four rivers, seasonally and according to length classes. The caught specimens' digestive system was extracted by cutting at the esophagus. By dissecting the digestive system, the content was analyzed and the determination of prey taxa was performed. The standard methodology determined that the main food for eels from the Brca, Žrnovnica and Sutorina rivers are Gammarus sp., while the specimens from the Željeznica river feed most often with pupae of insects from the order Diptera. Considering the variety of taxa, the diet differs in every river. It has been established that larger specimens only from the river Sutorine, which also showed the best condition factor, feed themselves with larger taxa of prey.
