Abstract
Kvaliteta biomase može ograničiti učinkovitost procesa njene pretvorbe te joj smanjiti ogrjevnu vrijednost u procesu neposrednog izgaranja. Štoviše, u dosadašnjim se istraživanjima pokazalo da je ogrjevna vrijednost u negativnoj korelaciji sa sadržajem pepela, a svakih 1% povećanja njegova sadržaja smanjuje ogrjevnu vrijednost za 0,2MJ kg-1. S druge strane, pepeo i anorganski elementi koji se oslobađaju tijekom izgaranja, mogu uzrokovati brojne probleme u postrojenjima pa je stoga vrlo važno utvrditi ukupni sadržaj pepela i mineralni sastav biljke kao ulazne sirovine za ovaj proces. Cilj ovog rada bio je utvrditi mineralni sastav, sadržaj pepela i ogrjevne vrijednosti u biomasi (stabljika i list) hibrida energetske kulture Miscanthus sinensis (sin x sin), u jesenskom roku žetve druge vegetacijske godine. Prikupljeni podaci pružit će saznanja o mogućnostima uzgoja u Republici Hrvatskoj, kao i o mogućnostima daljnjeg korištenja u tehnologijama proizvodnje. Rezultati su pokazali, s obzirom da je žetva rađena u jesenskom roku, da je prisutan visok sadržaj vode, što znači da je sirovina pogodna za biokemijske oblike pretvorbe, a ne za proces neposrednog izgaranja.
Abstract (english)
The quality of biomass can limit the efficiency of its conversion process and reduce its heat value in the direct combustion process. Moreover, the previous studies have shown that the heating value is negatively correlated with the ash content, and every 1% increase in its content decreases the heating value by 0.2MJ kg-1. On the other hand, the ash and inorganic elements released during combustion can cause numerous problems in the plants and it is therefore very important to determine the total ash content and mineral composition of the plant material as inputs for this process. The aim of this study was to determine the mineral composition, ash content and heating values in biomass (stem and leaf) od hybrids of energy culture Miscanthus sinensis (sin x sin), in the autumn harvest period of the second vegetation year. Collected data will provide information on the possibilities of cultivation in the Republic of Croatia, as well as on the possibilities of further use in production technologies. The results showed, given that the harvest was done in the autumn term, that a high water content is present, which means that the raw material is suitable for biochemical forms of conversion and not for the process of direct combustion.
