Abstract
Naglim porastom svjetske populacije i globalne ekonomije povećala se potreba za energijom, što je dovelo do veće potrošnje fosilnih goriva. Zbog smanjenje količine zaliha, klimatskih promjena i negativnog utjecaja fosilnih goriva na okoliš sve je veća potražnja za obnovljivim izvorima energije. Jedno je od najučinkovitijih rješenja je lignocelulozna biomasa. Industrijska konoplja (Cannabis sativa L.), kao lignocelulozna sirovina, ima velik potencijal pretvorbe u biogorivo te široki spektar primjene. • Cilj rada bio je utvrditi iskoristivost stabljike industrijske konoplje u proizvodnji energije procesima neposrednog izgaranja i pirolize. U istraživanju je korištena biomasa industrijske konoplje, sorta Fortuna. Analize su provedene standardnim metodama za utvrđivanje sadržaja gorivih i negorivih tvari, makroelemenata te gornje ogrjevne vrijednosti. Provedbom procesa pirolize utvrđen je udio proizvedenog biougljena i bioulja. Sastav biougljena analiziran karakterizira značajan potencijal prilikom procesa pirolitičke pretvorbe, odnosno kod proizvodnje bioulja kao energenta i biougljena kao proizvoda dodane vrijednosti. Laboratorijskim analizama potvrđeno je da je industrijska konoplja kvalitetna sirovina za proces neposrednog izgaranja te su dobiveni rezultati potvrdili potencijal industrijske konoplje u smislu energetski visokovrijedne i ekološki prihvatljive sirovine za proizvodnju energije.
Abstract (english)
With the rapid growth of the world's population and the global economy, the need for energy is also growing, which has resulted in higher consumption of fossil fuels. Due to declining stocks, climate change and the negative impact of fossil fuels on the environment, there is a growing demand for renewable energy sources. One of the most effective solutions is lignocellulosic biomass. Industrial hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) as a lignocellulosic crop has a great potential for conversion into biofuel and a wide range of applications. The aim of the research was to determine the utilization of industrial hemp stalk in energy production by direct combustion and pyrolysis processes. The biomass of industrial hemp, Fortuna variety, was used in the research. Analyses were performed by standard methods for determining ultimate and proximate data analyses, macro-elements and higher heating value (HHV). The pyrolysis process resulted with a certain share of produced biochar and biooil. The composition of biochar was analysed by using the above standard methods. Laboratory analyzes have confirmed that industrial hemp is a quality raw material for the process of direct combustion and the results obtained confirmed the potential of industrial hemp in terms of high energy values and environmentally friendly raw materials for energy production.
