The aim of the research conducted in the Brodsko-posavska županija, in Bodovaljci during 2021 year was to determine the impact of nitrogen topdressing on soybean yield and yield components. The study was set up according to a randomized block design in 3 replication and included 4 variants of topdressing with nitrogen: control without topdressing, 27, 54 and 81 kg/ha N. Analysis of yield components was done on 10 plants from each variant. Nitrogen topdressing did not have significant influence on the yield and some soybean yield components (height to the first fertile node, total number of nodes per plant, total number of fertile nodes per plant, harvest index and weight of 1000 seeds) compared to control. The difference in yield in topdressing with 81 kg/ha N and 27 kg/ha N was 136 kg/ha. Maximum plant height, number of nodes on the main stem, number of fertile nodes on the main stem, number of seeds per plant, seed weight per plant and number of branches per plant were achieved by fertilization with 54 kg/ha N. The largest number of pods per plant was achieved by topdressing with 81 kg/ha N. However, the differences of the mentioned components were statistically significant only in relation to the control. The achieved results were negatively influenced by the weather conditions in the research year.
