Abstract
Ovaj rad istražuje primjenu robotskih sustava u berbi jagoda i analizira ekonomsku isplativost u odnosu na ručnu berbu. Iako je tehnologija robotske berbe još u razvoju, očekuje se da će se u budućnosti sve više koristiti zbog prednosti kao što su smanjenje troškova radne snage i povećanje učinkovitosti berbe. Analiza pokazuje da trenutno ručna berba ostaje profitabilnija, ali ako se postignu ciljevi brzine i učinkovitosti berbe, usvajanje robotskih sustava postat će financijski isplativo za velike proizvođače jagoda ili kao usluga prilagođene berbe. Međutim, čak i s usvajanjem tehnologije robotske berbe, ljudski rad će i dalje biti ključan u berbi svježih jagoda na tržištu u Sjedinjenim Državama. Iako postoje tehnički izazovi vezani uz selektivnu berbu osjetljivih zrelih jagoda, vodeći ljudi u industriji optimistični su da će se ručni rad za jagode na kraju nadopuniti robotskim sustavima za berbu na neki način.
Abstract (english)
This paper explores the application of robotic systems in strawberry harvesting and an-alyzes the economic feasibility compared to manual harvesting. Although robotic harvesting technology is still in development, it is expected to be increasingly utilized in the future due to advantages such as reduced labor costs and increased harvesting efficiency. The analysis shows that currently, manual harvesting remains more profitable, but if the goals of speed and harvest-ing efficiency are achieved, the adoption of robotic systems will become financially feasible for large strawberry producers or as a customized harvesting service. However, even with the adoption of robotic harvesting technology, human labor will still be crucial in harvesting fresh strawberries in the United States market. Although there are technical challenges related to selective harvesting of sensitive ripe strawberries, industry leaders are optimistic that manual labor for strawberries will eventually be complemented by robotic harvesting systems in some way.
