Abstract
Za potrebe izrade idejnog krajobraznog rješenja šetališta Žal u Cavtatu, bilo je nužno provesti opsežan terenski i kabinetski rad kako bi se postiglo funkcionalno rješenje prilagođeno lokaciji koje će biti atraktivno turistima i lokalnom stanovništvu. Prostor, koji se nalazi na jednoj od najprometnijih turističkih lokacija, bio je neadekvatno oblikovan s obzirom na nivelacije terena i njegov potencijal. Iz tog razloga pojavila se potreba za promišljanjem novih koncepata kojim će se unaprijediti kvaliteta prostora. Korištenjem postojećih urbanističkih i prostorno-planskih dokumenata, detaljnom analizom terena te povijesnom analizom mjesta Cavtat generirane su ideje za nove mogućnosti iskorištavanja prostora kroz dodavanje dodatnih sadržaja i načina rješavanja postojećih problema. Krajobrazno oblikovanje temeljilo se na tri ključne metode obnove: revitalizacija, rekonstrukcija i izgradnja novog parka na zapuštenoj zelenoj površini.
Abstract (english)
For the purpose of developing the conceptual landscape design for the Žal promenade in Cavtat, extensive fieldwork and office work were necessary to achieve a functional solution adapted to the location that would be attractive to both tourists and locals. The area, located at one of the busiest tourist spots, was inadequately designed in terms of terrain leveling and its potential. For this reason, there arose a need to rethink new concepts that would enhance the quality of the space. By utilizing existing urban and spatial planning documents, conducting a detailed terrain analysis, and a historical analysis of Cavtat, ideas were generated for new ways to utilize the space by adding additional amenities and addressing existing issues. The landscape design was based on three key methods of renewal: revitalization, reconstruction, and the creation of a new park on an abandoned green space.
