Abstract
U proizvodnji prasadi sve se više koriste visokoplodne krmače čistih pasmina ili hibridnih linija. Zbog negativne genetske korelacije, u leglima s većim brojem prasadi dolazi do snižavanja porodne mase prasadi. Prasad manje porodne mase ima slabiju mogućnost preživljavanja i veće gubitke tijekom laktacije. U istraživanju je analizirana porodna masa prasadi iz 25 legala, te provjereni utjecaji veličine legla, rednog broja prasenja i spola na porodnu masu prasadi. Utvrđen je značajan utjecaj veličine legla na porodnu masu prasadi (P<0,001). Prasad iz iznadprosječno velikih legala, sa više od 14 živooprasene prasadi u leglu, imala je oko 200 g manju prosječnu porodnu masu. Nije utvrđen utjecaj rednog broj prasenja na porodnu masu prasadi, odnosno prasad koja se oprasila u prva tri legla imala je sličnu porodnu masu kao prasad oprasena u petom i šestom leglu. Nije utvrđen utjecaj spola na porodnu masu prasadi, odnosno nije bilo razlike u porodnoj masi između muške i ženske prasadi.
Abstract (english)
In recent time piglet’s production is based on highly prolific pure breed or hybrid line sows. Due to the negative genetic correlation, the higher number of piglets in the litter is related to the lower birth weight of the piglets. Lower birth weight affects poorer survival ability of piglets and greater losses during lactation. The study analyzed the birth weight of piglets from 25 litters, as well as the effects of the litter size, the parity number, and the gender effect. Significant effect of the litter size on the birth weight (P<0.001) was determined. Offsprings from large litters, with more than 14 liveborn piglets, had about 200 g lower average birth weight. The influence of the parity on piglet’s birth weight was not determined, i.e. the piglets farrowed in the first three litters had a similar birth weight to the piglets from the fifth and sixth litters. The influence of gender on the birth weight of piglets was also not determined, i.e. there was no difference in the birth weight between male and female piglets.
