In Croatia as in the rest of world the trend of growing chokeberry is increasing. Chokeberry is defined as the fruit with rich nutritive value, resistant to grow in different climate conditions. The media attention has helped to increase the demand of its fruits and products. Chokeberry comes from Northern America and it is an authentic specie. That plant has made a significant success in Europe because of its nutritive value and health benefits. To describe the process of growing chokeberry in Croatia more closely, besides must have literature, it is important to find out how experienced growers, that have been growing for years in this industry do it. It means: all the advantages and disadvantages of growing chokeberry. Exactly that is the reason why family farm Remenar – farm which is one of the biggest growers of chokeberry in Croatia has analyzed this topic. Judging by the interviews we come to the conclusion that growing chokeberry has away more advantages. So it is no wonder that growing chokeberry with all its benefits and very few flaws is increasing both judging by the number of the growers and the surfaces where it is planted.
