Abstract
U radu se istražuje postojanje filmskih montažnih postupaka u reality TV emisijama te njihov utjecaj u stvaranju željenih reakcija i emocija kod gledatelja. Posljednjih nekoliko desetljeća porastao je broj emitiranih reality emisija i prati se sve veća popularnost emisija u zapadnom društvu te shodno tome dolazi do veće konkurentnosti i potrebe za opstankom na televizijskom tržištu. Kako bi se gledanost održala, budući da se producenti ne mogu osloniti isključivo na tematiku emisije, reality emisije trebaju kod gledatelja pojačati emotivne reakcije na gledani sadržaj, što se postiže određenim snimateljskim i montažnim postupcima, koji svoje rane oblike i začetke prate još od radijskih emisija i dramatizacija književnih djela. Rezultati istraživanja dobiveni su temeljem analize sadržaja triju odabranih reality emisija: Keeping Up With the Kardashians, The Real World i Destination Fear.
Abstract (english)
The paper investigates the existence of film editing procedures in reality TV shows and their influence in creating the desired reactions and emotions among viewers. In the last few decades, the number of broadcast reality shows has increased and the growing popularity of the shows in Western society is recorded and accordingly there is greater competition and the need to survive on the television market. In order to maintain viewership since producers cannot rely on the show's topic alone, reality shows need to increase the emotional reactions from their viewers to the content they watch, which is achieved by certain filming and editing procedures that trace their early forms and beginnings to radio shows and dramatizations of literary works. The research results were obtained based on the content analysis of three selected reality shows: Keeping Up With the Kardashians, The Real World and Destination Fear.
