These works play with and provoke the field of peripheral vision as a point of imagination and perception where what is seen in certain cases lacks a clear form and shape. The work represents a series of paintings that stand on their own but also form a larger whole, describing perception as a concept that everyone can experience in their own way. The depiction of textures and colors gives an impression of playfulness, as the way each painting is created associates with the layered application of paint, which ultimately forms a separate whole in this work. The work emerged through the exploration and testing of the relationship between space and the perception of peripheral vision, which provides a broad picture of everything a person can experience and feel at a given moment with their entire being. The paintings communicate with the space and the viewer primarily because of their shapes, textures, and colors, even though they are not in the context of an “artistic work” but merely as part of the space. A change in a certain perception only occurs when the paintings, as an inseparable part of the overall space, are noticed and experienced. People see what they know, and it is in this way that they perceive certain shapes and things that surround them. Perception gives people attention and an experience of existence towards a broader horizon, and the experience of art is a personal dialogue between the observer, the work, and the space.
