There are various working time definitions, but they all come down to how much time the employer has established the employee spends in the workplace under the restrictions prescribed by law. Depending on the duration and period of carrying out work, various forms of working time exist. One of the forms of working time is working time redistribution, which is the topic of this Bachelor thesis. The concept of working time redistribution significantly affects working time flexibility. Redistribution of working time allows it to be redistributed in such a way that during a maximum of a twelve-month period, in one period, it can be longer than full or part-time, shorter in another, or one does not work at all. The average working time during the redistribution of working time shall not exceed full or part-time. The concept of working time redistribution is important for both the employer and the employee. Redistribution of working time is used by employers when required by nature and organization of work. Working time redistribution, where necessary, allows employers to adapt more easily to changes in the labour market, which allows for a reduction in operating costs and greater efficiency of the work process. Since it directly affects the employees’ work and leisure, the redistribution of working time is therefore also very important for the employee.
