Abstract
Ovaj rad posvećen je politikama Europske unije, a koje se provode da bi zemlje članice ostvarile razvoj i samim time ojačale europski položaj u svijetu. Prvi dio rada govori općenito o nastanku Europske unije i prvotnim idejama međunarodne zajednice, počecima kohezijske politike te funkcioniranju europskih fondova i njihovih pokrića. Drugi dio rada bazira se na strategijama koje je EU uvela pogođena krizom 2008. godine te o jedinstvenom tržištu, a ujedno i jedinstvenoj valuti. Rad također analizira ekonomske učinke jedinstvenog tržišta koje je Unija omogućila te kako su se ostvarili uvjeti za slobodno kretanje roba, usluga, kapitala i ljudi. Naposljetku, rad se bazira na poticaje koje Unija provodi u smislu inovacija, istraživanja i razvoja te s kojim se suvremenim izazovima susreće.
Abstract (english)
This paper is dedicated to the policies of the European Union, which are implemented in order for member states to achieve development and thus strengthen the European position in the world. The first part is generally about the establishment of the European Union and the original ideas of the international community, the beginnings of cohesion policy, and the functioning of European funds and their coverage. The second part is based on the strategies introduced by the EU affected by the crisis in 2008 and on the universal market, as well as the universal currency. The paper also analyzes the economic effects of the universal market made possible by the Union and how the conditions for the free movement of goods, services, capital, and people have been met. Finally, the work is based on the Union's incentives for innovation, research, and development and the contemporary challenges it faces.
