Abstract
Sintetički auksini, poput 2,4-D i Dikamba, su selektivni herbicidi za kontrolu širokolisnog korova koji aktivno ometaju ravnotežu biokemijskih procesa u ciljanim biljkama. U biljnim stanicama oponašaju djelovanje prirodnog auksina IAA. Sintetički auksini djeluju u tri etape koje obuhvaćaju aktivaciju metaboličkih procesa, abnormalni rast, inhibiciju rasta korijena i izdanka, senescenciju listova, klorozu i nekrozu biljnog tkiva te naposljetku smrt. Osim na biljne organizme, ovi herbicidi imaju i potencijalne toksične efekte na ostale pripadnike biocenoze, odnosno životinje mijenjajući njihov metabolizam stimulacijom ili inihibicijom enzima.
Abstract (english)
The common auxin herbicides, such as 2,4-D and Dicamba, are selective broadleaf weeds herbicides that affect the targeted plants by disrupting the fine balance of biochemical processes in plant cells. Synthetic auxins mimic naturally-occurring plant hormone IAA. They act in three phases including activation of metabolic pathways, abnormal growth, root growth inhibition, leaf senescence, chlorosis and necrosis leading to tissue and plant death. Herbicides can have potential toxic effect on animals as well, altering their metabolism by stimulation or inhibition of enzymes.
