Abstract
Bisfenol A i njegovi analozi učestalo se koriste u raznim industrijama, uključujući proizvodnju plastike i smola što dovodi do akumulacije ovih spojeva u okolišu i potencijalnih negativnih učinaka na okoliš i živa bića. Bisfenol A opsežno je proučavan i danas se zna da djeluje kao endokrini disruptor, a dokazan je i njegov utjecaj na brojna druga kronična oboljenja. U pokušaju da se pronađu sigurnije alternative danas se u proizvodnim procesima koriste analozi bisfenola, kao što su BPF, BPS, BPAF i brojni drugi. Međutim, sve je više znanstvenih studija čiji rezultati pokazuju da analozi bisfenola pokazuju sličan, a često i intenzivniji toksični učinak u usporedbi s BPA. S obzirom na široku rasprostranjenost ovih spojeva u proizvodima široke potrošnje neophodno je provesti temeljite procjene svih analoga bisfenola kako bi se razumjeli njihovi pojedinačni toksikološki profili i potencijalni toksični učinci
Abstract (english)
Bisphenol A and its analogues are frequently used in various industries, including the production of plastics and resins, leading to the environmental accumulation of these compounds and potential adverse effects on the environment and living beings. Bisphenol A has been extensively studied, and today, it is known to act as an endocrine disruptor, and its influence on numerous other chronic diseases has also been proven. In an attempt to find safer alternatives, bisphenol analogues such as BPF, BPS, BPAF and many others are used in production processes today. However, there are more and more scientific studies whose results show that bisphenol analogues show a similar and often more intense toxic effect compared to BPA. Given the wide distribution of these compounds in consumer products, it is necessary to thoroughly evaluate all bisphenol analogues to understand their toxicological profiles and potential toxic effects.
