Abstract
U ovom radu analizirana je botanička zbirka Odjela za biologiju Sveučilišta Josipa Jurja Strossmayera u Osijeku. Analizom herbarija utvrđeno je da sadrži 1036 biljnih svojti iz 117 biljnih porodica odnosno 1361 herbarijski primjerak. Svojtama najbrojnije porodice su: Lamiaceae, Fagaceae i Asteraceae. Najstariji herbarijski primjerak je ljekovita slezenica (Asplenium ceterach) L. iz 1961. godine koja potječe s područja Banja Luke. Herbarijske biljke uglavnom potječu s područja jugoistočne Europe, a najveći broj biljaka prikupljen je na području Slavonije i Baranje. Uz herbarij, zbirka sadrži i zbirku sjemenki, plodova, češera te kora drvenastih biljaka. Prikupljeni biljni materijal predstavlja važan izvor informacija o flori posebice istočnog dijela Hrvatske i susjednih zemalja, te može biti od velike važnosti za različita znanstvena i stručna istraživanja i edukaciju
Abstract (english)
In this paper, the botanical collection of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Department of Biology was analysed. Analysis of the herbarium showed that it contains 1036 plant taxa from 117 plant families, i.e. 1361 herbarium specimens. The most numerous families are: Lamiaceae, Fagaceae and Asteraceae. The oldest herbarium specimen is the medicinal spleenwort (Asplenium ceterach) L. from 1961, which originates from the Banja Luka area. Most herbarized plants originates from the South-eastern Europe, and the largest number of plants was collected in the area of Slavonia and Baranja. In addition to the herbarium, the collection also contains a collection of seeds, fruits, cones and bark of woody plants. The collected plant material represents an important source of information about the flora, especially of the eastern part of Croatia and neighbouring countries, and can be of great importance for various scientific and professional research and education
