Abstract
Način prehrane može imati znatne posljedice na organizam pa tako i ekspresiju gangliozida. Izražajnosti gangliozida u miometriju pretilih ženki ukazije na značajnu ulogu gangliozida u patološkim mehanizmima koji su posljedica pretilosti. U pokusu su korištene ženke Sprague Dawley štakora stare 3 tjedna podijeljene u dvije skupine. Kontrolna skupina (12 ženki) hranjena je standardnom prehranom (SD), dok je testna skupina (12 ženki) hranjena masnom i slatkom hranom (HFHSD). Žrtvovanje životinja je izvršeno 21 dan trudnoće, tj. u terminu poroda. Odmah nakon žrtvovanja životinja, prikupljeni uzorci fiksirani i pohranjeni. Eksperimentom je dokazano da u miometriju ženki štakora hranjenih masnom i slatkom hranom dolazi do povećane izražajnosti GM1 i GD1a gangliozida. Prehrana bogata mastima i šećerima nije utjecala na izražajnost GT1b gangliozida u miometriju štakorica.
Abstract (english)
Diet can have significant consequences on the body and thus the expression of gangliosides The change in expression of gangliosides in the myometrium of obese rats indicates a significant role of gangliosides in the pathological mechanisms resulting from obesity. In the experiment, female Sprague Dawley rats aged 3 weeks were randomly divided into two groups. Until the end of the experiment, the control group was fed a standard diet (SD), while the test group was on a high fat high sugar diet (HFHSD). 6 weeks after the onset of the special diet, the females were mated, and the same diet continued until delivery. The animals were sacrificed on the 21st day of pregnancy, at the time of delivery. Immediately after animal sacrifice, the collected samples were fixed and stored. The experiment proved that there was an increased expression of GM1 and GD1a gangliosides in the myometrium of female rats fed high fat and high sugar diet. Diet rich in fats and sugars did not affect the expression of GT1b ganglioside in rat myometrium.
