Filipa i Jakova u Vukovaru. Među inima nalazimo djela R. Šumahera, A. Sandukčića, M. Jaića, D. K. Hruze, K. Kolba, K. Staryja, Ml. Barbarića, Fr. Luževića, T. Machulke i dr.
Abstract (english) The meeting with the pastor, father Ivica Jagodić, occurred on Tuesday, 16 July 2010 (at 11 o’clock) in the parish church of St. Philip and Jacob in Vukovar. So far the following individuals have researched the history of music in Vukovar: musicologists L. Šaban and Z. Blažeković, fathers P. Cvekan, V. Frkin (provincial librarian), B.I. Horvat (librarian of a monastery, deceased), abbot father Gordan Propadalo and Mato Batorović (museum technician). Since Croatia signed a bilateral agreement on cultural exchange with Serbia, archival records were returned from Serbia on 20 November 2004. These materials included 3,833 old and rare books as well as marriage records from 1827 to 1952 (which were stored in St. John’s Franciscan monastery in Zemun, Serbia for 12 years) along with numerous manuscripts. As for publications, there are all together 287 titles (from 9th to 18th century); in music publications we emphasise the ones by G. Čevapović (‘Josip, sin Jakoba Patriarke’) and M. Jaić (‘Bogoljubne pisme’), etc. Also, at that time numerous music manuscripts were returned, most of which were not sorted out (this became the topic of this thesis). We found 590 catalogue entries of music manuscripts (from 17th to 20th century). They were stored in 10 archive boxes. Some of these manuscripts are works by R. Šumaher, A. Sandukčić, M. Jaić, D.K. Hruz, K. Kolb, K. Stary, Ml. Barbarić, Fr. Lužević, T. Machulka, etc. Only one out of five manuscript cantuals was found and that is father Antun Sandukčić’s music book (dating from 1731.). We are still guided by the motto ‘looking for Vukovar’s (and Slavonian) cantuals’ (as symbols of Croatian national identity...)
