Abstract (english) The modern economy is incontinently moving toward a global market incited also by political integration processes, so it is almost impossible to speak of national economies. In this dissertation, a study was conducted on the impact of outsourcing on company operations. Even though this is a very old model, known from the antiquity, outsourcing has become a generally accepted term, a company business model and the subject of scientific research, only in mid-1990s so there is no unambiguous definition. The definition adopted in this dissertation is the official definition of the United Nations (UNECE 1995), i.e. outsourcing is any relationship in which a company (subcontractor) performs business in the name and for the account of another company (main contracting party) working on the entire process or producing a finished product pursuant to the drafts and technical specifications of the main contracting party that eventually bears the entire financial burden. Since the expansion of the outsourcing correlated in time with the major growth of the global economy, its impacts on the emitting and receptive companies are researched with a special emphasis on footwear industry in Croatia, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia as receptive economies, and Germany and Italy as emitting economies and the Czech Republic, a former world leader in footwear production, where there was no outsourcing. The theoretic part encompasses the definition of the term of outsourcing from many scientific papers, different authors from the entire world, its forms and mutual relations of the parties included in the process and during the very process. Since this is a holistic and evolutionary process that has in fact been present for a long time, a special attention in the theoretic part was given to the development and growth of the world economy from the industrial revolution until today with a special emphasis on growth models and impact and form of outsourcing as a business model. The goal of the dissertation application is directed at analysing the impact of outsourcing on growth and development so far, the forms into which the outsourcing evolved and how it is about to continue to develop in the future; it is realised through the following two hypotheses. Hypothesis H1: Outsourcing as a business model significantly contributing to the strengthening of the competition and development of industry is fully accepted because secondary and empirical research conducted for the needs of this dissertation have shown that the outsourcing model made both the emitting and receptive economies stronger and more competitive; therefore, the hypothesis is entirely accepted. The goal of hypothesis H2 is to establish the course of the outsourcing process. Hypothesis H2: The decision on outsourcing must be a result of appropriate strategic reflection and of financial and other evaluations is accepted entirely because laws were established in the process of initiating and implementing outsourcing, as well as standard procedures that have to be abided by in order for the outsourcing model to be successful. Secondary studies established the conditions that both sides have to fulfil in order for the model implementation to be successful, which was confirmed by empirical research. The laws in the evolution of the outsourcing model have also been established through secondary research and empirically confirmed. Therefore, H2 hypothesis is entirely accepted. With regard to the obtained results, it has been confirmed that the outsourcing has had a positive impact on growth and development. Moreover, it has been established that the outsourcing model is an evolutionary and changing one, which implies that it will rightfully continue just like investment into human capital and the need for strategic reasoning.
