Tourism is a common thing that connects many, almost all states. Today, there is no country that does not invest in tourism. Day by day it grows more and more, states are becoming more aware and invest more and more in that sector. It is very important to know which motives are leading to desire of tourists for visiting particular countries. Motives can be conditioned by individual characteristics of man, characteristics of traveling and organizational characteristics of traveling. The urban area is characterized by big density of population and vast human features considering surrounding areas, while urban tourism represents all types of tourism and services that are taking part in urban areas. The problem that can be noticed while creating tourist offer is that the tourist offer is often made by looking only at interests of the tourist , whereby it is often forgotten about local population, whose quality of life has direct influence on quality of supply, and like that have to be part of the same strategy. Reason for that is that cultural tourism is often developed from political and economical reasons that do not have a lot of connections with local population and preservation of their cultural legacy. Croatia is country with enormous tourist potential because it owns Adriatic Sea and has a lot of historical and cultural monuments, most of which are well preserved, and are used as good reason for the arrival of tourists.
