The aim of the graduate thesis and research is to find out how much is successful method of promoting places, cities, locations and events through photography. The motive for exploring the influence of photography lies in the growing trend of foto promotion on social media. Diploma thesis on the topic of online promotion places and events through images is based on the theoretical background of the importance of internet marketing, as well on research part. The paper contains an analysis of the media, their form and importance for the implementation of marketing activities. It shows situation in Croatia's advertising industry, as well as forms of advertising in Croatia. Importance is attached to online media and online promotion through blogs and social networks. It is about the importance of blogging and social networks Facebook and Instagram for online marketing. For the purpose of creating a graduate thesis, it is required to create multimedia content. Content will be in the form of photography, which are taken by Canon EOS 200D device. These photos are posted on Facebook and Instagram. The work includes advices which should be considered during establishing a blog, also it explains the process of making a blog and its content. It describes the created content, different ways of promoting places and events through photography and text. Each article published on the blog is promoted on social networks, as more particularly described in the work. In order for research to be based on facts, a traffic analysis was conducted on the Feel The World travel blog via the Google Analytics digital tool. This tool analyzes web site traffic. Specifically, Google offers a service to generate traffic statistics for the website, traffic sources, measurement of conversions and sales. Also, it has followed the path of visitors, and it talks about how users access the website, was it through search engines or maybe through a social network.
