Through the development of the culture and cultural content of places, cities and countries are creating added value for themselves which is an excellent cornerstone for the development of various sectors in the country. Among the major trends that have influenced the development of culture and the cultural industry are digitization and globalization. Cultural managers are responsible for implementing cultural and cultural activities. The creative industries are a relatively new term that has been used for twenty years now. Creative industry means the exploitation of creative and innovative individuals for the purpose of creating new, creative and innovative goods and services from which other people will benefit. Countries and cities in have realized the benefits of investing in the development of creative industries and have began to invest more and more in their development. Through the development and investment in culture and cultural institutions, the city's infrastructure is developed, jobs are created, the economic value of the area is increased and the quality of life of the inhabitants of the area is improved. An excellent example of a city that has progressed in recent years thanks to investments in culture and cultural institutions is the city of Osijek, which since 2014 has been actively working to promote the culture and development of creative industries. In the area of Osijek, it is becoming more and more evident every day how significant investments in cultural and creative industries contribute to its awakening and development. In the last ten years, Osijek has become one of the largest and most famous cultural centers in our area. Rich cultural content, networking of cultural institutions and close cooperation with the government have led to an awareness of the importance of investing and promoting culture and cultural values among the citizens of the Republic of Croatia.
