Waste is one of the problem of modern civilization and at the same time a central problem about environmental protection. We refer to waste as all material created as a result of human activity that cannot be reused or discarded by someone. It is created by the action of human activity in all spheres of the household in people's daily lives to waste contained in manufacturing and service activities. Waste does not belong beneath a pile of useless substances and not necessarily become trash. Given the properties that work on human health and the environment, we divide waste into hazardous and non-hazardous waste. Hazardous waste is waste which is made of at least one or more properties which will endanger human and environmental health, while nonhazardous waste does not contain any of the hazardous properties which may endanger humans or the environment. Large number of products is produced daily around the world products and of course these products are used daily by the population and after that use they usually dispose of the remains waste into designated places. There is a big problem with waste disposal larger quantities of products and so one of the solutions comes which is an efficient waste management system. Waste management is considered as one type of activity which covers all branches of the economy, and it contains a number of different procedures. The aim of the final paper is to get acquainted with the concept of waste management and what is problems which will greatly affect only human health, the environment and the air. The purpose of the final paper is to get acquainted with the problems that the Republic of Croatia faces when it comes to inadequate waste disposal.
