Abstract
Sve veća financijska neizvjesnost uvjetovana izrazitim promjenama makroekonomskih trendova uz veću razinu financijske pismenosti potrošača dovela je do svjesnosti i mogućnosti zaštite od rizika nemogućnosti otplate kredita. Osiguranje kredita pripada u neživotni segment osiguranja te se njegovim ugovaranjem osiguranici štite od rizika nemogućnosti podmirivanja budućih financijskih obveza uslijed nezaposlenosti, bolesti, smrti ili nesretnog događaja. Često taj dodatan financijski teret može biti u konačnici transferiran na članove obitelji ili jamce te može dovesti i rezultirati njihovim poslovnim problemima. U radu se istražuje i analizira hrvatsko tržište osiguranja kredita, s posebnim naglaskom na njegove karakteristike i razvijenost, dostupnosti u osiguravajućim društvima, broju sklopljenih polica, visini zaračunate bruto premije, učestalosti pojave štetnih događaja i visini isplaćenih šteta te njegovoj ukupnoj ekonomičnosti. Abstract (english)
Increasing financial uncertainty caused by market changes in macroeconomic trends with a higher level of financial literacy of consumers has led to awareness and the ability to protect against the risk of loan default. Credit insurance belongs to the non-life segment of insurance, and by contracting it, the insured is protected from the risk of inability to meet future financial obligations due to unemployment, illness, death or an accident. This additional financial burden may ultimately be transferred to family members or guarantors and may lead to and result in business problems for legal entities. The paper investigate and analyzes the Croatian credit insurance market, with special emphasis on its characteristics and development, availability of insurance companies, number of concluded policies, gross earned premium, frequency of occurrence of harmful events and amount of paid claims and its overall economics.
