Problems observed in this study, was the problem of the migratory movements of the population as well as economic implications of migration processes. The issue of migration movements, expressed the problems with which human civilization is facing since the world began. People have always migrated, seeking better living conditions for themselves and their families. Migratory movements, also marks the modern era. We are witnessing a great migration crisis that implies the problem of developed and developing countries. Furthermore, migratory movements occur and the Republic of Croatia, and as evidenced by the data of the Central Bureau of Statistics, according to which the most of the population of the Republic of Croatia in recent history, left the Republic of Croatia in 2014. As the root causes of migration of the Croatian population, it is possible to highlight and push and pulls factors. Stimulating factors (Pull factors), factors are poor overall environment that mark the Croatian economic system, from the Croatian independence. Particularly worrying is the departure of the young population. This problem is extremely important from the aspect of the labor market, but also the demographic aspect. In terms of the labor market, it is necessary to highlight the problem of brain drain, which is a specific form of migration movements of the population, and refers to the departure of highly educated professionals and intellectuals. They were highly educated individuals of a society really and holders of its economic development. As for the emigration of the young population from the demographic point of view, it is necessary to point out the problems of an aging population, which for many years marked by Croatian demographic trends. For these reasons, migration has to be object of study, especially from an economic standpoint.
