The purpose of this final paper is to determine the necessary characteristics and leadership styles during the Covid-19 pandemic. The paper examines the characteristics and leadership styles in conditions of uncertainty. In the empirical part of the paper, a survey questionnaire was conducted on a sample of 30 managers, the questionnaire was forwarded by e-mail and other available applications, and the feedback was 100%. The data collected by the survey enabled the analysis of the socio-demographic characteristics of the appropriate sample and the perception of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the key characteristics and roles of leaders. The paper states that under the influence of the Covid-19 pandemic, most managers were exposed to negative consequences, although a slightly smaller percentage of respondents believe that the impact of the pandemic has brought certain positive effects. The results also indicate that 70% of managers stated that strengthening motivation and self-confidence during a pandemic is very important, and accordingly participatory leadership styles are recommended, which are characterized by each group member having the opportunity to participate in decision making. At the same time, 60% of managers surveyed believe that courage and determination are key traits during a new crisis, which in turn means that empowering a leader or his personal development contributes to his effectiveness during conditions of uncertainty. The results of the research show that under the influence of the Covid-19 pandemic, the most common model of leadership is transformational and charismatic.
