Entrepreneurship in the narrower sense is related to starting and managing business ventures. Entrepreneurship research has proven that entrepreneurs are not born but created, and a number of characteristics and skills that characterize entrepreneurial behavior have been identified. Well, still, there are characteristics that can be found in all successful entrepreneurs. The topic covered in this paper is the Characteristics of Successful Entrepreneurs. All entrepreneurs who develop a successful venture, no matter what industry they are in, have similar characteristics, such as passion for the job, focus on the product / customer and the ability to implement. The aim of this final paper is to define entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship in a narrower and broader sense, to explain and clarify entrepreneurial myths associated with entrepreneurs, to explain the entrepreneurial process through its phases and characteristics of successful entrepreneurs but also the characteristics of successful business. In the empirical part, the characteristics of successful entrepreneurs are explained on the example of entrepreneurs from the environment and the practical example shows how important the characteristics that are theoretically defined are in everyday business. The entrepreneur who was interviewed is a co-owner and one of the founders of a company that makes dentures and from his experience he answered questions related to the characteristics and characteristics of successful entrepreneurs.
