Communication exists since the very beginning of human life, and also has experienced many transformations throughout history, from cave paintings, the development of language and script, to the latest technology. In the past, people have always used some form of communication because that was necessary for them in order to survive, both individually and in communities. Communication is a method of survival and development of society. The word communication is derived from the Latin word communis, ae, f. which means common, i.e., communicare – make something common. Simply said - to communicate means to inform, keep in touch, to connect. The forms of communication can be divided into four groups according to the senses: hearing-verbal communication, visual communication, tactile communication and taste and smell communication. Apart from above mentioned classification, there is also classification based on the function of language: verbal communication (monologue and dialogue) and non-verbal communication. The importance of communication in business is seen: within the organization (a process in which all employees participate) and outside the organization. Successful communication is communication in which the desired message of the sender of the information is the same as the received message of the receiver of the information. Contrary to successful communication is unsuccessful communication, which is very common in everyday life. In order to have successful communication, there are certain rules, laws and principles which should be followed, and are described in the sequel.
