Abstract
Prilikom donošenja odluka, za investitore je važno razmotriti moguće rizike s kojim se susreću. Da bi se uspješno mogli smanjiti negativni ishodi i rizik, potrebno je upravljati rizikom. Za upravljanje rizikom rizik je potrebno rizik mjeriti, a jedna od mjera tržišnog rizika je rizična vrijednost (Value-at-Risk, VaR). VaR prikazuje očekivani najveći gubitak tijekom određenog razdoblja uz određenu razinu vjerojatnosti, odnosno signifikantnosti. VaR se uobičajeno računa na tri načina: povijesnom metodom, parametarskom metodom te Monte Carlo simulacijom. U radu su predstavljene sve navedene metode, s detaljnijom razradom Monte Carlo simulacije. Monte Carlo simulacijom izračunata je rizična vrijednost na primjeru dionice Dalekovoda temeljem podataka sa Zagrebačke burze.
Abstract (english)
When making decisions, it is important for investors to consider the potential risks they face. In order to successfully reduce negative outcomes and risk, it is necessary to manage risks. Risk management requires risk measurement, and one of the measures of market risk is Value at Risk (Value-at-Risk, VaR). VaR shows the expected largest loss over a period of time with a certain level of probability or significance. VaR is usually calculated in three ways: by the historical method, the parametric method and the Monte Carlo simulation. The paper presents the mentioned methods, with a more detailed elaboration of the Monte Carlo simulation. The Monte Carlo simulation calculated Value at Risk on the example of Dalekovod shares based on data from the Zagreb Stock Exchange.
