This paper is about the stock market in the Republic of Croatia. The purpose of the work is to enable readers to have an overview of all relevant facts related to the Croatian stock market in one place. The goals of the work are to clarify shares, share markets and regulations and rules of share trading in the Republic of Croatia, and to connect all of the above into one whole. The theoretical basis for the work consists of professional books on the topic of financial markets and institutions, laws related to the stock market in the Republic of Croatia, and internet sources of the Zagreb Stock Exchange and HANFA. Shares are equity securities and enable their owners to participate in the work of the assembly and in the distribution of the company's profits. There are ordinary and preferred shares, the most common traded shares are ordinary shares. Shares can be issued in materialized and dematerialized form. Shares are sold for the first time on the primary market, and every subsequent trade in the same shares takes place on the secondary market. The most important secondary market is the stock exchange. Brokers are intermediaries through whom share trading takes place and they receive a certain fee for this. The Zagreb Stock Exchange is the only stock exchange in the Republic of Croatia. The paper lists the rules for listing on the Zagreb Stock Exchange, as well as fees for trading and membership. The law that regulates share trading in the Republic of Croatia is the Capital Market Act, and the body that supervises its implementation is HANFA.
