Abstract
Ovaj se diplomski rad bavi izvozom poslovnoga subjekta Plive na tržište Istočne i Južne Europe. Među nekoliko načina ulaska na inozemna tržišta, Pliva se odlučila na izravni, odnosno direktni izvoz. Spomenuta tržišta tek su neka od tržišta na koja Pliva izvozi jer Pliva izvozi i u zemlje Europske unije te Sjedinjene Američke Države. Riječ je o izvozu u Sloveniju, Srbiju, Bosnu i Hercegovinu (u nastavku rada: BiH) te Makedoniju. Među ovim tržištima postoji razlika jer je, primjerice, Slovenija članica Europske unije (u nastavku rada EU) i Schengena, baš kao i Hrvatska od 1. siječnja 2023. godine, dok ostale navedene zemlje nisu. Posebice je zanimljivo uspoređivati izvoz u Sloveniju s izvozom u Srbiju, BiH te Makedoniju. Prednost ulaska Plive na sva navedena tržišta je njezina dugogodišnja tradicija, iskustvo poslovanja na inozemnome tržištu, poznavanje procedure i drugo. Nedostatak je, pak, izvoza i to da Pliva nije jedina farmaceutska industrija koja je na tim tržištima te tu dolazi do susreta s konkurencijom. Zaključak ovoga rada pokazat će da je izvoz na ova inozemna tržišta bio dobra poslovna odluka zato jer je Pliva na njima zauzela sam vrh u prodaji farmaceutskih proizvoda. Zahvaljujući dugogodišnjoj tradiciji, ulaganju u razvoj i inovativnost te posvećenosti istraživanjima, Pliva ima zavidnu poziciju na globalnoj razini.
Abstract (english)
This thesis deals with the export of the business entity Pliva to the market of Eastern and Southern Europe. Among several ways of entering foreign markets, Pliva decided on direct export. The mentioned markets are only some of the markets to which Pliva exports, as Pliva also exports to the countries of the European Union and the United States of America. We are talking about exports to Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina (hereinafter referred to as BiH) and Macedonia. There is a difference between these markets because, for example, Slovenia is a member of the European Union (hereinafter EU) and Schengen, just like Croatia from January 1, 2023, while the other mentioned countries are not. It is particularly interesting to compare exports to Slovenia with exports to Serbia, BiH and Macedonia. The advantage of Pliva's entry into all the listed markets is its long-standing tradition, experience of doing business on the foreign market, knowledge of procedures and more. The drawback of exports is that Pliva is not the only pharmaceutical industry in these markets, and this is where the competition comes into play. The conclusion of this paper will show that exporting to these foreign markets was a good business decision because Pliva took the very top in the sale of pharmaceutical products. Thanks to longstanding tradition, investment in development and innovation, and dedication to research, Pliva has an enviable position at the global level.
