The paper deals with quality management, on the example of the Waterworks of the city of Vukovar. The general goal of the work is to analyze the theoretical knowledge in the field of quality management, while the specific goal of the work is to analyze the existing quality management system in the observed company and based on the analysis, present recommendations for improving the quality management system. The work consists of six chapters. The introductory chapter presents basic information about the company and the aim and purpose of the thesis. After the introductory chapter, the second part describes the concept of quality management. The third section describes the impact of the quality management system in the Republic of Croatia, while the fourth section briefly describes the methodology of the research part. In the fifth unit, the quality system in the company Vodovod of Vukovar is analyzed, while in the sixth unit, proposals for improving the quality management system are presented. In the last unit, the conclusion is presented, followed by lists of literature, tables and graphs. Based on the analysis of the quality management system in the observed company, the strengths and weaknesses of the system were identified. On the basis of the identified shortcomings, recommendations for improvement were presented, of which the following stand out: establishment of a special organizational unit for quality management, improvement of the human resources management system, implementation of certain quality management standards such as ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018, procurement of additional equipment and technology in order to prevent failures and losses, measure user satisfaction and apply the philosophy of the Six Sigma model and DMAIC methodology.
