Abstract | The focus of this paper is mainly on analysis of human resource management and its functions with the emphasis on the analysis of the implementation of these functions on the example of a medium sized company Sound of Vienna Konzertveranstaltungs GmbH. The human resource management functions in question are job analysis, HR planning, recruitment and selection, training and development, and motivation. The importance is put on how successful execution of human resource management as well as its functions significantly contributes to successful operation of any business, increasing productivity, efficiency, workforce satisfaction, and overall success. This was analyzed by conducting interviews with the CEO as well as his assistant, which provided crucial insights on the way Sound of Vienna recruits, teaches, empowers, and motivates its workforce. From the conducted research about the way of implementation of the five functions it is evident that Sound of Vienna operates as a productive, experienced, efficient and most importantly, well-managed company. Moreover, this enables the company to remain at the very top of its line of business, with high staff retention as well as employee satisfaction. Nevertheless, suggestions for improvement are given for some. Adding online forms in regards to improvement of job analysis efficiency, introducing team workshops or job rotations for the purpose of enriched communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills as well as providing courses or seminars, like classical music courses, furthering long term knowledge and satisfaction could all be utilized in order to achieve maximum individual potential of every employee. |
