Abstract
This thesis provides an analysis of logistics performance in the European Union and the Republic of Croatia. Logistics is a complicated process that includes everything regarding the movement of good from one point to another, planning, transport, administration, warehousing, etc. Logistics accounts for 14% of total GDP in the European Union countries, which shows the importance of the logistics service and performance of the European Union countries. As logistic became essential in international trade, different measurement tools of logistics performance were developed. The Logistics performance index is one of those tools, given the topic, this is the most appropriate tool and will be used in further analysis. The Logistics performance index is a tool that measures the quality, velocity, accuracy and simplicity of the logistics process in selected countries. The analysis is separately done for EU-15, EU-12 and Republic of Croatia. Compared to all EU countries, only the Czech Republic and Poland had bigger growth than Croatia from 2007 until 2018. Croatian infrastructure is pretty good developed, especially road infrastructure through which most of the cargo is transferred. However, the Republic of Croatia is far below most of the European countries and must improve their trade processes, logistics service and infrastructure to be more competitive on the European market and in general.
