Abstract
Nowadays, there is a lot of talk about the topic of decarbonization and low-carbon development. It can be said that this is one of the most current topics today. In recent decades, we are witnesses of meaningful climate change in different parts of our planet that disturb human and animal life. Is it our fault? How can we build a green economy to accomplish sustainable development and reduce poverty? The Republic of Croatia enters to a group of countries in the world that are strongly considering and scheduling policies and parts to diminish greenhouse gas emissions and alleviate climate changes.There is a strong connection between the changes in the climate system that are provoked by different severe weather events and the growth in the accumulation of greenhouse gases in the air created by human activity. Such phenomena have negative results on the existence of plant and animal species, the opportunity of consuming water, food creation and most importantly, on our health. What can we do is diminish the total of carbon we put in there, and as a consequence, lower temperature changes.
