Abstract
The construction of sports facilities in the Republic of Croatia is financed from the state budget,the budgets of local and regional self-government units, and public-private partnerships inagreement with the Ministry of Tourism and Sports. Currently, favorable lending conditions withvery low interest rates are a much more acceptable way of financing than the extremelycomplicated and time-consuming financing process by issuing bonds and / or public-privatepartnerships, so recently the construction process of financing with commercial bank loans hasbeen used. This paper analyzes different ways of financing the construction of public swimmingpools of the City of Pula and the City of Rijeka.
