Abstract Tematika ovoga rada odnosi se na motiviranje i nagrađivanje zaposlenika, odnosno postizanje njihova zadovoljstva poslom i radom u globalu. Sve je veći broj istraživanja i literature koji se bave tematikom ljudi kao najvažnijeg resursa organizacije, upravljanjem ljudskim resursima i motiviranjem zaposlenika. Organizacije također uviđaju važnost ljudskih resursa bez kojih ista ne bi mogla opstati u suvremenim poslovnim uvjetima. Motivacija zaposlenih je od neminovne važnosti za stvaranje poželjne i ugodne radne okoline, stvaranje zadovoljstva zaposlenih, povećanja radne produktivnosti i u konačnici postizanja ciljeva organizacije. Drugim riječima, motivacija utječe pozitivno na zaposlenike, tj. na razvoj i poboljšanje njihove kreativnosti i efikasnosti, ali i na kvalitetu radnog života u organizaciji, proizvodnost i dr. U svrhu ispunjenja očekivanja zaposlenih te održavanja pozitivnog i poželjnog ponašanja, kompetentna organizacija koristi odgovarajuće motivatore u svakodnevnom radnom okruženju. Na zadovoljstvo zaposlenih utječu brojni faktori, kao što su primjerice: karakteristike posla, mogućnost napredovanja i razvoja karijere, odnos s nadređenima, razina i sigurnost plaće i stimulacije, uvjeti rada, tip i trajanje radnog vremena, stres, miješanje poslovnog i privatnog života, opterećenje na radnome mjestu, sigurnost zaposlenja i dr. U ovome radu provedeno je empirijsko istraživanje o utjecaju motivacije na zadovoljstvo zaposlenika. Rezultati pokazuju da je motivacija izrazito bitna zaposlenim osobama, i to u vidu materijalnog i nematerijalnog nagrađivanja, odnosno u podjednakoj mjeri ističu važnost intrinzične i ekstrinzične motivacije. Istraživanjem je dokazano kako motivacija ima pozitivan efekt na zadovoljstvo zaposlenika.
Abstract (english) The topic of this paper is to motivate and reward employees, and achieve their job satisfaction and work globally. There is a growing body of research and literature dealing with the topic of people as the most important resources of an organization, human resource management and employee motivation. Organizations also recognize the importance of human resources without which it could not survive in modern business conditions. Employee motivation is essential to create desirable and comfortable work environments, create employee satisfaction, link work productivity and ultimately achieve the target organization. In other words, motivation has a positive effect on employees, ie the development and improvement of their creativity and efficiency, but also the quality of working life in the organization, productivity, etc. In order to fulfill the employees expectations and to keep their positive and desirable behaveour, a competent company will use proper motivator sin its everyday work environment. Employee satisfaction is influenced by a number of factors, such as: job characteristics, career development, superiors, salary and incentives, working conditions, working hours, the possibility of promotion, stress, the intertwining of business and private life workload, job security, etc. The paper proves empirical research on the impact of motivation on employee satisfaction. The results show that motivation is extremely important for employees, in the form of tangible and intangible rewards, ie they equally emphasize the importance of intrinsic and extrinsic motivations. Research has shown that motivation has a positive effect on employee satisfaction.
