Abstract
Video igre se sve više promatraju kao strateški važno tržište i ulažu se znatna financijska sredstva kako bi se stekla prednost na tržištu. Razina konkurentnosti u samoj industriji je iznimno velika, te od proizvođača zahtjeva konstantnu inovaciju primjene nove tehnologije ukoliko žele ostati konkurentni. Razvoj tehnologije omogućava puno veću fleksibilnost korisnicima tako što im daje mogućnost da svoje igre igraju gdje god se nalaze. Kroz ovaj rad ćemo analizirati koliko je zapravo industrija video igara konkurentna sa ostalim industrijama, koje tehnološke inovacije su bile najznačajnije kroz povijest razvoja industrije koje metode najveće tvrtke na tržištu koriste kako bi ostvarili što veću konkurentnost, te koje tehnološke inovacije čine budućnost industrije videoigara.
Abstract (english)
Video games are increasingly viewed as a strategically important market and significant financial resources are invested in order to achieve competitive advantage on the market. The level of competitiveness is incredibly high and manufacturers are required to constantly innovate and apply new technologies if they want to remain competitive. The development of technology allows much more flexibility for users by giving them the ability to play their games wherever they are. Throughout this paper we will analyze how competitive the video game industry actually is when compared to other industries, which technological innovations have been most significant throughout the history of the industry, which methods are used by the largest companies on the market to be more competitive, and which technological innovations mark the future of the video game industry.
