The assessment of creditworthiness is extremely important because it indicates the quality of the entire business and the financial stability of the analyzed company. There are two cases that require a creditworthiness assessment. Due to internal needs in the company with the primary goal of identifying problematic business areas to be able to make timely and adequate business decisions, and due to external needs in order to assess the quality of a potential business partner in order to eliminate or reduce business-related risk. The information or data needed to carry out the analysis is taken from the company's financial statements, i.e. from the balance sheet, profit and loss account and cash flow statement. The financial reports provide relevant, complete and true information about the financial position and performance of the business. When compiling financial statements, companies are obliged to comply with legal provisions and accounting standards: IAS, IFSI and HSFI. The primary objectives of the work are to assess the creditworthiness and quality of business operations of Podravka JSC and study the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the company's operations. The work is based on the analyzed financial statements of Podravka JSC in the period from 2019 to 2021, where 2019 represents the year before the start of the pandemic in the Republic of Croatia, i.e. the base year. The analyses carried out are: horizontal and vertical analysis of the balance sheet and profit and loss account, analysis of financial indicators of liquidity, indebtedness, profitability, economy, activities and investments. Subsequently follows analysis using Altman's Zscore model and finally the traditional method of 6K analysis. Based on the all of the aforementioned analyses, the impact of the pandemic on the business of Podravka JSC will be determined according to the hypothesis.
