Abstract | The topic of Human Resources Management is thoroughly analyzed in this bachelor's thesis, with a specific focus on the exemplary Human Resources (HR) department within Croatia's leading company in the tourism sector, Valamar Riviera. Valamar is an organization with a very well-developed Human Resources department. Valamar's Human Resources department can stand as an example since they are constantly working on even more significant development in order to maintain employee satisfaction and the best possible service and hospitality to prominent guests who visit Valamar's numerous hotels, resorts, and camps throughout the year. In this paper, Human Resources Management and its goals in general are initially discussed, and later, the focus is shifted on the example of Valamar Riviera and its Human Resources department. This paper will explain the history of Valamar Riviera, how it was founded, and all the locations of its facilities, and later discuss corporate operations, along with the Human Resources department, its tasks, successes, objectives, strategies, and offers. The core responsibilities of the HR department will not only be covered, but also analyzed for its diverse achievements and offers further. The focus of this paper is on the current state of the Human Resources department at Valamar Riviera and laying the groundwork for the exploration of potential future directions, encompassing areas such as talent development and a strategic shift towards a more local workforce, highlighting Valamar's responsiveness to the evolving demands of the tourism sector and its commitment to fostering strong community ties. Additionally, Valamar's commitment to educational opportunities for its employees, emphasizing its dedication to nurturing a highly skilled and knowledgeable staff will be explored. |
