Human resources are the key business factor of each company. Every company strives to provide quality employees to achieve their goals, ensure profitability and increase market competitiveness. Company business goals are achievable only if the company has an adequate workforce that possesses the necessary knowledge, skills and additional skills. In order to make the competition more important, it is important to invest in staff and identify the need for investing in employee education, recruiting quality staff, rewarding and improving employees, and involving employees in the decision – making process. The following are theoretical definitions of staffing, as well as basic management activities which seek to attract and retain those candidates who have the greatest ability to achieve performance that the company has determined. Further mention is made of the types of personnel management (human resource planning, staff recruitment, staff selection and teaching and staff development) as important components of management. The main objective of the study is to examine the personnel potential of Split airport and to determine whether the existing staffing potential is sufficient for efficient airport operations.
