The capital market in Croatia has a certain infrastructure that was the subject of this paper. The problem lies in insufficient education of the population, which is the reason of a small number of investors on the capital market as well as a large number of those who are doing this by lending. Securities trading is on the Croatian capital market in the same way as in the world, while the international market is far more developed, primarily for a greater number of individuals involved in trading, but also much larger capital and a much larger market value. The Croatian market is one of the better organized in the region and this part of Europe and continues to develop. Legal regulations and regulatory bodies, primarily, HANFA takes care that participation by banks, natural and legal persons takes place in accordance with the law and enables transparency in the trading and availability of information. Capital markets have an important role to play in developing the economy and competitive advantage, so it is extremely important to educate the population and encourage inclusion in trading as well as awareness of the importance of financial literacy.
